in.cube8r gallery

if you're looking for something unique for your friend or loved one, you are going to find it here at in.cube8r - and the good news doesn't stop there!

in.cube8r was created due to a shortage of opportunities for emerging artists - the only option for most creatives was to front up to markets stalls week in and week out - the galleries needed a large portfolio of work before they took submissions, and that didn't leave many other options.

But then Isy Galey opened up the first amazing gallery in Smith St, Fitzroy, in 2007. It was a place that provided a platform for anyone who made things by hand, to have their own little cube, or rack, or wall space, to showcase their work, and to see if it was worth pursuing a handmade career.

And the best part about it? there is no commission!! Artists get 100% of the sales, full stop.

do you make things by hand? do you like to support local artists? do you like unique gifts at affordable prices? then head on down to in.cube8r at 368 Brunswick Street, and see what loveliness adorns their gallery this month (it constantly evolves, so you should make it a regular so you don't miss out!)

clothing - heidi go seek

Why did you set up your shop?

I have lived, worked and played in the Valley for years and constantly frustrated by the lack of unique clothes and gifts. Especially having traveled and living overseas every chance I could. So with a background in clothing, textiles and footware. It was time the Valley stepped up, and I built a little boutique of my own to provide just that.

What type of goodies are found in Heidi Go Seek?

At the moment a collection of Australian designer labels, jewellery and local artwork pieces.

Where else can people find you?

www.heidigoseek.com.au (coming soon)

Until the website is fully loaded, all new items are uploaded to our facebook page for purchasing.

Any specials currently running that you want to share?

Sign up in-store to Heidi Go Seek and receive 5% off all purchases.

Why did you choose to set up in the valley?

I love the eclectic mix of people in the Valley, from bums to business men. This is the most cultural area of Brisbane.
